GUNTER COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Erdington. Gunter Rd. Council Sch. opened 1930 by Birm. C.B.C. Accom. 432 JI. Huts for 3 classes added 1932. Accom. for 1 class in St. Mary's Parochial Hall, Pype Hayes, used 1952–4. Name changed 1954. Accom. 1961: 10 classrooms, hall.
So this 1931 photo was taken not long after the school opened. Viv.
