Just as a matter of interest, Saxon, I came across the marriage of a William Mason and Elizabeth Guest, both of Birmingham, in St Martin's records. The were married on 8 July 1777.
My grandfather, William Scaysbrook, worked for a small firm of engineers, Hollings & Guest in Steelhouse Lane around 1915 - 1922. They were hydraulic engineers. If anyone has info on the firm or those who worked there I would very much appreciate it.
So many Guest family from around the globe have contributed to Guest paternal heritage project. For those a little curious this succinct comic summary may do. All listed in the book hail from parent stock Row Heath, Kings Norton along either one of tow stems Tewkesbury and Handsworth of the 16th century (provided for self education purposes of the curious).
