Greenberg jewelers

Pete Elliott

master brummie
Hi all, I’m researching my grandfather William Charles Edward Elliott, and on the 1921 census he was working at Greenberg jewellers 126 Gt, Hampton Street . I was wondering if anyone has connection to Greenberg and maybe photos and information please

The earliest mention of IS Greenberg that I can find is 1894, and at 125/126 Great Hampton St. The firm was still in existence after December 1936, however by Oct 1944 many properties, including 125/126, were up for sale.

In 1943 the was a death of a Mr Louis Greenhill (formerly Montefiore Solomon Greenberg) of 6, Farquhar Road, Edgbaston and also 125/126 Great Hampton St.
