Our family have been searching for years for our Grannie, Annie Chambers, we have never been able to find a birth for her, and although we knew she died round about 1913 when our dad was a nipper, we have never been able to find her.
My sister Pam who lives in Canada decided to think "outside the box" and started looking for similar names, Pam found a lady named Hannah Matilda Chambers born in 1866, which is the correct date, and a Hannah M W**** died in 1913 in Brum.
I sent for the death cert, and it is the correct lady, she died of a pulmonary embolism, and our grandad is the person who registered the death, they were living at 10 Howard Street.
Never, ever, give up.
