My great great grandfather, Herman Grabowski, was born in Poland in 1823 and came to England sometime in the 1850s. He married Ellen Andrews in 1860 in St Saviours, Southwark, London. Then moved to the Birmingham area.

I am seeking anyone who has common ancecstry, and who can provide information about Herman's parents, what year Herman came to the UK, and on what ship.

There's two people with a Herman 1822 Poland, in their trees on genesreunited, have you tried them?? if not i can message them for you Claire

If these two people are Pauline Boughton and Beverly Pascoe-Webbe, then yes I am already in touch with them. If someone else, then I am interested.

If the Herman (born 1862) was born in Southwark, then yes, it sounds like one of the sons of 'my' Herman. I am not on Genesreunited, so if you could contact them on my behalf that would be really goog, ta.

He has the same birth year but born Aston, i have mailed him anyway, as soon as i hear anythng i will let you know, do you have anymore names in connection with him i can check for matches too??

Hello again,
The Herman (b. 1862) has the following siblings: Albert Louis (also born 1862,[London] but I am not aware there were twins, so the birth dates could be suspect), Selina (b.1870 d.1871 Willenhall), Edwin (b.1867 Staffs), Ellen (b.1864 London), and Lily (b.1871 B/Ham).

Albert married Eliza Stokes 1 June 1884
Ellen married JOhn Connor (date unknown)
EDwin married Louisa Edwards (1 June 1890)

Just checked the other names and this other contact i have mailed has Edwin and Albert too, altho he has them born Birmingham, so it looks hopeful that he is connected to you, i will keep checking the other names you gave me :)
