I'm looking for information on the Godfrey families living in Sutton Coldfield from 1860 - 1940. There were 3 brothers, James, William and John all born in Offchurch. I have all their census details and certificates but would love more "flesh" to their lives if people can find them in such things as parish magazines etc. I'm currently working my way through electoral rolls and Kelly's directory on line. They were gardeners by trade and I believe they worked on the setting out of Sutton Park after the racecourse went. William moved to Erdington where he, with his son in law, started a bakery called Godfrey and Brindley. I would love to know if there are any pictures of them or whether the shop still exists even in a very altered state. They all moved around Sutton living in Boldmere, Wylde Green and Hill at various times. I am not local and so I cannot gather information easily. Its the little details such as what did their houses look like and what schools were they likely to have attended etc. that I would like to know.

Thanks.
