I was apprenticed in the 60's to GKN ( L.H. Newton as it was known then )and can remember some of my fellow apprentices would love contact to see if I can contact - Mickey Heath, Billy Howitt, Johnny Peach, Terry Price, Dennis Humpries, Ray Price, Malcolm Phillips, Billy White, Brian Debus

Hi John,
I posted a photo in Company Staff Courses Work or Play ? Factories and Offices of a bunch of GKN people on a 1970 course at Cambridge. There were some from Screws & Fasteners etc - even one from Oz. I travelled the world for GKN but never got to Australia.

I've posted the link, hopefully it will work.
The Aussie in the photo is 6th from left in the 3rd row from front. He shocked us 'Poms' by describing a management technique in his plant of listening in to phone calls in order to decide promotions etc. We soon forgot though as we downed the beers in the Cambridge Pubs playing at being undergraduates !

I have just found this site, bit of a long shot but are you the John Casey who started training/induction at Haddon and Stokes in 66, with Mick Gold, Liam Connolly and Bob James (me)

My uncle worked there his name was Arthur Hillier
