There was a school for wayward girls on the corner of Reservoir Road/Monument Road but not quite sure what date it would have been. I think it is now used for offices.

Thankyou Carolynn,

I am just trying to figure out how two relatives ended up in Essex if there where local homes?

I,m not to sure about the one you said on the corner of resovoir rd and monument rd
if there was one but the nearest to to st chads was portland rd andi do know there was one there many years ago from early days right up tp my knowledge throughand till the seventys that i do know and the other one for girls was on the corner of bristol rd
right next to and over looking the bbc studios i do beleive this bigwhite house on the corner still stands then there was the trees up the clent hills way
and the boys either went to forhill house kings norton or moseley rd or st johns
up gravelly hill because and if they was sisters they would have beenclasifyed and gone together in exeter and also not forgetting the one in tennal lane but that was for boys the girls orphange in weoly castle shenley fields or the one in erdington
but the closes bet was portland rd next to st chads which is down the back of st chads or down the side but i cannot recall one on the corner of the ressor rd only a hostel for the home les in resovoir rd best wishes astonian ;;
