Girling Brakes - Tyseley

Street residents of Manor Farm Rd in celebrating the coronation of King George in 1937.
Hi Phil ,

Thanks for the photo - I'm sorry to ask for favours, but this image has been a bit of a quest. The chap behind my nan in the daisy pinafore dress ( just his face), i'm really interested in.
Is that the absolute best resolution ? - was curious if my nan was showing a ring on her outstretched hand, also if there are other images of the street party, if the chap behind is more visible - he's got a distinct haircut. Do you have the image, is it from an Archive? - are there more unseen.
Thank-you so much , it'll make my Dad happy if I can answer some of this.
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve, sorry, this is the only image I have. I don't have the original. I saw it on a website a few years ago and the page administrator was kind enough to send me this digital copy after some begging. I recognized my Nan and Grandad in it, Doug and Alice Williams. They lived at lived at number 88. I know the struggle you are facing. If I ever come across something similar I will post it here for you. Cheers, Phil

Thanks Phil . We're trying to see who is in the photo asides my Nan. We think the chap behind her might be Norman Betteridge, or Frederick Faulkner. Possibly her sisters Eve, Renee, and her parents. Lena, and Charles - but it's pure speculation at the moment. The Faulkners lived at 77. I wonder if Doug and Alice were friends. Were you lucky enough to have photos from your Grandparents ?- it would be amazing if you have Mary's wedding.
Which is Doug and Alice?
