Brummie babby
I have been researching my Grandmother Jessie Agnes Gill. She was born in Birmingham in the Winson Green area in 1894 and was the daughter of Florence Bloomer and Henry Gill. Jessie was the eldest of eight. My family originated from Birminham but have long since moved away and lost touch so if there is anyone researching same family please get in contact.
thanks

There are quite a few Gill's in Warstone Lane, and a couple in Key Hill.
No Jessie Agnes, but Warstone Lane does have
Florence A 1909
K 17 (Vault) 65048 & Henry 1905 R 761 61147

I don't suppose they are those at all ?

hi there
i had a contacty with a lovely girl by the name of diane gill whom lived with her parents in
sprigfeild street next to the blewitts family the gils was a very well mid cl#ass family
di was a god loking girl very fun to be with this was in the fifties we disdcovered tom knockers woood as we called it it was the old chad valley factory in harbone with the stream running through te side and across to the alottments and dwm the main rd coming down harborne hill

hi robee

As you have said about barford rd i do think there could be some connection between the gills of barford rd ancubert stret and springfield st ladywood
as springfield street was about a mile down the rd from barford rd and on that subject of barford rd around the 196O onwards and if my memory serves me correct
the name og gil rings a bell because i seem to remember a little chap even tho he was inis younger days from a family of gils
and as i9 am tapping away here i have had just a thought
there is a person on this forum whom is a neibour of a chap whom was an old friend of mine from way back then and he like me knew alot of kids around the area
especialy barford rd so later on some time today i will im this member of the forum and hope she may goe and asked him about whether or not there was gil in barford rd
he was a small chap in statue with silver blonde hair a quite chap and well dressed which i am pretty sure there was
alternive would be do an electrol roll check for the period of possible seventies as they well may be sibbling from your requested people if there was eight of them
but as i have said also of the springfield rd in the fifties or even before that years as i cannot recall how long they lived there but the sibbling of these people
was a young girl by the name of dianan so may be its her parents could be part of your family sibbling as well
best wishes astonian
