George Humphreys, wire weaver

Shortie

master brummie
In the 1881 census, George Humphreys was a master wire weaver, employing two men and one lad. Is he listed in Kelly's please, as I would like to know where he worked from? I find it hard to imagine he worked from home, which at that time was a back to back in Moseley Street. It is possible, I suppose he also had the house behind from which his work could have been done? Any assistance gratefully received.

In the 1883 Kelly's there is a George Humphreys listed as a tool forger at 61 and a half Constitution Hill. I have now found a more likely candidate George Humphreys wire weaver listed at 43 Cheapside.

Thank you Janice, this won't be him. I guess he had sufficient work not to need to advertise. Much appreciated.
