Gents Only rooms in pubs

It sounded like " parrawint of marrawild in a tharrawin glarawass" - basically he inserted "arraw" into his words.
Paul also says there was a G.O. at the Dog and Partridge and also at Yardley Wood Social Club. In the latter only male staff were allowed to serve so usually my husband when he was working but then they allowed women to serve to the disapproval of the clientele.
