Below is a photo of the houses back of 4-7 Garland Street. The name was changed around 1915. Certainl Green was a not very appropriate name, as can be seen from its position on the 1937 map below
Not really sutorising Lyn. It is very short. The street is listed in the street list as Garland Street in the 1908 Kellys, but neither name is mentioned in the 1904 or previous Kellys. It is marked as Green Street on the 1903 OS map , but the 1880s map shows the street and gouses, but does not mark a name. The name was probably changed as there was also a Green Street in Deritend and in Smethwick. Below is the 1886 map
