Gallagher Elizabeth Marriage look up please

lynne webb

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
Could someone kindly look for the Marriage of Elizabeth Gallagher b.1868. between 1891 and 1901.
I did find one Marriage in 1896 to either James Andrews or John Patrick Cox,but I can't confirm that this is the right one. On the 1901 Census both of these men are married to an Elizabeth. I hope someone can help me with this. Thank You.
Lynne.

Re: Marriage look up please

Thanks for that Pam, I'll have to find out if Edward Murphys wife is Elizabeth on the 1901 census..
Thanks again Lynne.

Re: Marriage look up please

out of the two marriages you first mentioned lynne the one that looks most likely is james andrews because the age of the children fit with the marriage date

1901 living in aston
james andrews 34 brass polisher
elizabeth andrews 32
james 3 and elizabeth 1. all born bham

then in 1911 living 26 willis st. bham

james andrews 42 brass finisher b.bham
elizabeth andrews 40 b.bham
james 13, elizabeth 11

william andrews 39 brother brass finisher b.bham
john seward 49 lodger gas fitter b. london

married 14 yrs and just the 2 children born

Re: Marriage look up please

Thanks Shera, I thought that it must be James Andrews, then found two marriages for John Patrick Cox. I thought maybe he was widowed and already had some children. The trouble is they both seem to fit. I didnt really want to buy a marriage certificate but it looks as if this is the only way to find out.
