Gabriel's "Corner shops" Ruston Street, Ladywood and Mickleton Avenue, Sheldon

Wow! Never knew I could get all this detail. Thanks for all your expert help. I love those ariel photos and I can almost make out someone coming out the house. Or I think I can.. And I love the map with the slider into modern day.

I drove along Ruston Street today wondering if I was in the right bit. Now I know I can't drive past where the house was, but if I park up I can walk past it. I will share this with my old Mum who stayed with her grandmother many times. Her father was Harold in the census and it was news to me that he was also there at one point. I have been to the Back to Backs and got a feel for the houses, but its so good to be able to know where theirs was and what the area looked like.
