I would welcome any help in obtaining the ages at death for the following entries

Thomas Fullwood buried 24th March 1712 at St Martin, Birmingham, Warwickshire

Elizabeth Fullwood buried 14th January 1729 at St Martin Birmingham, Warwickshire

Kind regards
Robert

No age is given for either.

Both have the letter C in side column.

Next to Elizabeths name is Widow.

No other details apart from date of burials.

Hi Bo
Many thanks for the information concerning my Fullwood family burials
would you know what the letter C in the column referred too ? could it be that they were buried in the Church ?

My research is to prove that my ancestor Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham (premises in Well street, Digbeth and the White Hart Inn) 1691-1712 is the same person as Thomas Fullwood of Whittington who was a principal purchaser of rod and iron from the Foley partnership 1691-1705 when he purchased 110 tons 7 cwt over 11 years, showing that they were both involved in the same trade. The other similarity is that my Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham had a brother Oliver Fullwood a Gentleman of Coleshill and Thomas Fullwood of Whittington also had a brother named Oliver.
If i can prove that these two Thomas Fullwoods are in fact the same person i will then link my ancestor to the Fullwood family of Whittington and will then be connected to Agnes Arden (previous married name Hill, maiden name Webbe) 2nd wife of Robert Arden

I have found the marriage entry for Thomas Fullwood to Elizabeth Simcoe
12th July 1681 at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Birmingham and wondered if you had any information for this entry to show if Thomas Fullwood was from another parish when he married Elizabeth Simcoe and whether his father is mentioned to see if it is Robert Fullwood.

I also have the christening entries of the children of Thomas Fullwood and his wife Elizabeth (mn Simcoe) but no other information showing where they lived at the time
Robert Fullwood ch 18th May 1683
Ann Fullwood ch 7th December 1687
Thomas Fullwood ch 11th December 1689
John Fullwood ch 3rd May 1691

If you could add anymore information to help me prove that the two Thomas Fullwoods are the same person i would be most grateful

Kind Regards
Vinnell

I have checked with Birmingham Archives regarding the letter C in the side column and it is their understanding that it refers to Thomas Fullwood and Elizabeth Fullwood being buried in the Crypt of St Martins Church

Possible the families are one of the same, but of course it is proof that you need.
Unfortunatley Certs give little detail during the years you have mentioned other than - if they were of full age or minor and if they were of this Parish.
St Peter's & St Pauls Aston , otherwise known as Aston Juxta records are held at Birmingham Central Library on Mircofiche.
Sometimes the Bishops Transcripts give more info, I understand that those for Aston Juxta are held at Lichfield.

Do you know if any of this family left any Wills ? These usually hold a wealth of information .

Hi Bo
I have the will of my Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham who was buried in 1712 and his wife Elizabeth who was buried in 1729, I have their marriage entry and their marriage licence and also the christening record of their daughter Ann, my direct ancestor where Thomas Fullwood is referred to as Mr Thomas Fullwood.
My link to the Fullwood family of Whittington and Warwickshire has been given more strong indications as the brother of my Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham is Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill a Gentleman.
I have details of the marriage settlement of Dorcas Fullwood only daughter of Robert and Alice Fullwood of Whittington to Andrew Hacket in 1699 and the trustee mentioned is Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill Gentleman. There is a strong indication here that Robert Fullwood who married Alice Jennings is the brother of Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill and therefore brother of my Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham.
This is backed up by the marriage settlement of Robert Fullwood to Dorcas Weigham in 1639 as the lands and premises mentioned in this marriage settlement are the same lands and premises mentioned in the marriage settlement of 1699 showing that Robert Fullwood who married Alice Jennings and father of Dorcas Fullwood who married Andrew Hacket was the eldest son and heir of Robert Fullwood and Dorcas Weigham who married in 1639 and that is how the land and premises were passed down.
All the names, places and time frame fits with the Staffordshire visitation of 1663 and the Warwickshire visitation of 1682 backed up by the christenings, marriages, burials and marriage settlements that my Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham is the grandson of Robert Fullwood and Dorcas Weigham who married in 1639 and brother of Robert Fullwood who married Alice Jennings who is mentioned in the 1699 marriage settlement of their daughter Dorcas and also brother of Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill who is also mentioned in the marriage settlement of 1699 as a trustee along with Lisle Hacket brother of Andrew Hacket and also Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill is mentioned as the brother of Thomas Fullwood an ironmonger of Birmingham in the will of 1712. Other research would suggest that Andrew and Lisle Hacket were the grandsons of the Bishop of Lichfield John Hacket.
I also have the Will of Oliver Weigham father of Dorcas Weigham who married Robert Fullwood in 1639 and in his will he mentions his son in law Robert Fullwood husband of his daughter Dorcas and his grandchildren Robert, Thomas, Oliver , George and Dorcas.
All this information shows the connection between my Fullwood ancestors and could show that Oliver Fullwood of Coleshill was named after his grandfather Oliver Weigham.
The Simcoe family is also interesting and is being researched as a John Simcoe was constable of Birmingham in 1680 and could be related to Elizabeth Simcoe who married Thomas Fullwood as her father was John Simcoe a Cutler in Birmingham who died in 1686 and her grandfather was Anthony Simcoe also a Cutler of Birmingham who died in 1663. The Cousin of Elizabeth Simcoe who married Thomas Fullwood is Richard Simcoe an Attorney at law who was another executor in the will of Thomas Fullwood in 1712 and was connected to the King Edward the sixth school, Birmingham where he was attorney for over 40 years and in his will dated 1764 he left land in Handsworth to his kinsman Joseph Carles who may well be the Joseph Carles of the Birmingham riots in 1791 but more investigating to do on that point.
(Joseph Carles (I740-96), a local landowner, of Brown's Green,. Handsworth, was a Staffordshire and Warwickshire J.P)

My Fullwood, Simcoe and Carles ancestry in Birmingham is really interesting.

Vinnell
