Froggatt boxers

Hello everyone .... interesting to read about Kyrle Hall .... I have just discovered my grandfather has a connection to it.
I have just bought this old poster relating to the boxing matches held at Kyrle Hall .... my grandad was Joe Froggatt boxer for Small Heath and later Austin ABC.

I've moved your post to a separate thread as the Froggatts were obviously successful local boxers, particularly your grandfather, Joe Froggatt. Here are some examples of snippets about Joe which you may not have seen. He's mentioned in quite a number of newspaper articles. Both Froggatts are in the photo below.

Hi Vivienne, thanks so much for your reply, there are some newspaper clips there I haven't seen. The clip with the photo of the competitors includes William Froggatt, I believe he is Joe's brother and father of the late songwriter, Raymond Forggatt. Here is another photo of Joe.

Yes, that made me and my mother laugh because her mother, my grandmother was clearly one of those ladies! LOL!

On the poster the name is spelt Froggett - I assume this is a mistake.
