Could someone please help with a parish records look up for the following;

James Freeman was born in Kirk Hammerton (between York and Harrogate) around 1837

He married Mary Annie Millington in 1867 in the parish of Leeds, he was 30 years old.

On his marriage certificate his Father is Thomas Freeman occupation butcher, Thomas was born c1809

possibly Kirk Hammerton.

I am looking to find out the name of Thomas Freeman's wife, (James mother).

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks Neville..

I looked on the 1851 census and found a Thomas Freeman (butcher),wife Elizabeth and sons Arthur,John and William, and daughters Anne and Mary J,living at 4 Denton Terrace and born Kirk Hammerton. On the household ,there is Ann Leak,Mother-in-Law aged 73?
There is the following entry on IGI
JAMES FREEMAN
birth 13 MAY 1836
Christening: 03 JUN 1836 Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England
Father: THOMAS FREEMAN Mother: ELIZABETH

Hello Ladylinda,

Thank you for your prompt reply, would you be able to find details of Thomas's marriage to Elizabeth Leak from your records?

thank you
Neville..

Sorry,I have had a look but can't see anything.I did find the following in the 1841 census with a butcher connection!!
1841
Leake David 75 Independent
Leake Ann 65
Leake Thomas 48 Butcher (all born in county)
living at Coney Moor , Methley, Yorkshire (faint handwriting on original and transcribed as Mood, but possibly could even be wood!)

Thomas Freeman c. 1809 Kirk Hammerton was my 3x great grandfather, he did not have a son named James. On the 1841 census of Kirk Hammerton he is with his wife (Elizabeth Leake born 1810 Cattal near Hunsingore), and his only child at time is Ann 10mths old. On the 1851 census, by this time in York, his oldest child is still Ann now aged 10 years, no child named James with the family.
