Does anyone know if it's possible to identify the exact month of a wedding from the free BDM site as it usually gives marriages etc in qtr's such as April May June..

No, I don't think it is. I'm not sure if the page numbers have a chronological order but even if they did it wouldn't help much.

Not sure if this will help, https://www.marriage-locator.co.uk/ it was posted as a 'work in progress' in 2011, but I'm not sure how far it has progressed.

I did once see a detailed explanation as to how to identify a particular Church from a GRO reference, but can't currently locate it.
