I don't know why I used that title.................I can't even say it!

I made this one up recently, and the family love them. Very simple add-on to any meal.

1 Potato per person . For this recipe, say 4 potatoes.

Pierce potatoes with fork all over.
Microvave on high for six minutes
Let stand for a few minutes and check softness (depends on size of spuds)
Microvave for a further two minutes at a time until spuds are just soft on the outside, but not getting wrinkled. (overcooked).

Slice potatoes into 10mm (3/8") slices.
take large frying pan or skillet depending on where you live, and hit husband over the head with it. This will put you in a better frame of mind to continue cooking.
Now put frying pan on cook-top and put just enough oil to cover the bottom [the frying pan's NOT yours] (I think olive oil is best......but whatever you like........axle grease would be OK for someone like Cromwell).
Make sure that gas is lit or that electricity is flowing, or this recipe will take forever (like the writer).
Fry potato slices on both sides until golden brown.
While this is going on, take one chicken OXO cube (or beef if you prefer). Squash it to a powder on a plate and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of chile powder and mix thoroughly.
When potatoes are browned, dip both sides lightly in mixture and serve immediately with roast dinner or whatever.
Serve with copious quantities of cold beer or wine.

Not in the slightest bit healthy..........but who cares at our age?

Frantics Fries sound a hot dish - I might add - words-recipes to help prepare -breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the year.

I hesitate to imagine what happens when there’s a dinner party? It must be a gourmand’s delight - with Frantics Fries - Chopped syllable salad, epic catalectic dressing tossed with macaronic verse, prolific pudding served with underdone rhyme.......

Fresh asparagus followed by treacle sweet - double dactyl torte, rondeau cheese and ruby port, all for the price of a fast-food buffet. Perhaps I should write more, indulge - Never mind the indigestion my spare diet might cause starvation.
