Frederick Barnes

Hi Jake

Did you know it was possible to dowload Canadian attestation papers from the National Archives of Canada.

Below is the front page of Frederick Barnes attestation paper when he enlisted.

hi terry
sorry to take so long to reply, i have all the canadian army records,
of this ancester plus his arrival data, and wrote to barnardos, but barnardos want £55 for the info they hold, and can't guarantee how much
of the info survived.

hi
i hope you don't mind me contacting you but
I'm trying to follow in jakes footsteps and reading his blogs.....I
Did tryst get in touch but to no avail.....

I am his cousin and currently researching frederick barnes and Ernest Henry his brother
I noticed that in 2006 you were visiting the cemetery where he (Frederick) was buried and you said you might be able to send a photo of his grave to Jake

I realise this is a bit cheeky but wondered if you did happen to still have a copy of the photograph ...if you could forward a copy to me too.

Cheers Emm
