For those interested in Black country History

Black Country Memories Virtual Group.

“The next Virtual Heritage Group meeting will be held on Monday 20th May at 7.30pm. This will be the last one before September and will be entitled "Black Country Memories". In this meeting those who attend will be able to bring along a "memory" - a story, a photograph, a piece of music, a poem and talk about it for between 2 and 5 minutes. I can help put together images or other media into a PowerPoint presentation if required. So if you have anything you would like to share, then please let me know. The video of a similar event last year has attracted an astonishing 1300 views.

Whether you wish to present anything or not, the link can be obtained from me at societyblackcountry@gmail.com in the normal way.”

Looks like a really jam packed event! The ticket price does seem reasonable especially when looking at concerts. Not that it really matters to anyone but me, but thanks to the exposure of the Black Country on the Forum, I have gained so much more appreciation and understanding of what it it. I have always studied Brunel, Threvethick, Boulton, Murdoch & Watt et al, now my industrial horizon has been greatly expanded!
Thank you….
