Flaxley Road, Stechford

does anyone know what number the cottages are on flaxley road...i am going up and down on st view trying to find them.. :rolleyes: thanks

The name Flaxley Lane was in use until 1918, the name Flaxley Road seems to have been in use from 1916. So Mike's photo in post #1 can be no later than 1916.

There was once a beauty spot in Flaxley Lane, eroded by the need for timber for WW1 war effort.

Re the advert in the shop window for "Libbys" - I remember their evaporated milk and tinned fruit. Perfect combination.
