I think this may be your Stephen mis-transcribed...
Birth Jun 1840 Finney Stephen Birmingham Vol:16 Page:334

There's also this Thomas:
Birth Sep 1851 FEENY Thomas Birmingham 16 373
This is only when the birth was registered, my Dad was registered one year one month after he was born. So you never know, but you can enquire about parents.

He is the only one that fits apart from the Tom Feeney one in 1848 that you've already looked at.

There were a couple with alternative spellings around 1843, but that would be too early

Hi Guys that's brilliant... so we were looking for Feeney/Butts... wounder where the 'Butts' came from? I tell you genealogy is like doing Jig-Saw Puzzles... However Jig-Saws are often easier because at least there is a clearer picture to follow even if there' s bit missing LOL! :)

Hi tops
as far as i know this is a diffrent family i think my family may
have changed the spelling from finney to feeney
maybe to fit in not sure
my nan alway said we were related and my G G Grandfather
did help giving out shoes and coat to the poor
But at thls time i have no proof
john feeney came over mid 1800s as far as my family
goes my john was born about 1806 and from liverpool
so unless they are cousins i think it will be something that
we will ever know
