Has anyone any memories of photos of ecv hardy motorcycle repair shop at 11 hamstead road handsworth in the 50s.

Hey Lyn,

Dave Astley here again...my dad used to work for Eric Hardy. I believe that the place was previously owned by Geoff Bennett, the Birmingham speedway rider. I worked there part time when I was only about 12 or 13 years old. I know I have a photo or two somewhere that does show the front of the shop. Unfortunately, living in Canada makes it difficult to get a hold of many of my memories, but I'll look into it. I'm curious what your interest is...

hi dave well i will go to the foot of our stairs....eric hardy was my late hubbys dad and since i started this thread a whole lot of photos came to light of not only the shop but of the men who worked for him...eric ran many isle of man races winning lots of cups and medals for his races..i started an isle of man thread and posted every single photo in the album including ones taken during the races..his medals and also his trophies..when the forum was hacked we lost them all but i had reposted a few of them so go to the ISLE OF MAN TT thread which i have just bought to the top of the page...by the way what was your dads name as eric put the names on some of the photos..i am hoping that the shot of erics workers outside the shop may show your dad
