Ernest Smith New John Street West

Looking for Ernest Smith (no initial) in New John Street West. Last definate sighting was in 1921 at 9 back of 357. However, cant find him in 1925 even though the address shown on my grandad Sam's army discharge was 9/357 New John Street West and ernest was his next of kin. Cant find a death entry for Ernest either. Can anyone see him anywhere?
 
The family seem to flit back and forth between addresses. Between 1918 and 1930 they flit between 9 back of 357 and 9 court 47 New John Street West.

In 1918 when Albert was born they lived at 47 court 9 New John Street West, In 1921 when Florence was born they were at 9 back of 357.

Ernest informed of his wifes death and theyre at 9 back of 357. Yet in 1930 I pick up my grandad Samuel Arthur living with his brother Alfred at 9 court 47, no sign or Ernest.

They did the same when the other children were born too....

In 1908 the family are in 208 Great Russell Street when Samuel was born, in 1909 theyre at 35 court 7 house Great Russell Street when Ernest jnr was born, in 1914 theyre back at 208 Great Russell Street! Very odd!

Im wondering if one or both of the addresses are listed as shops anywhere because Ernest Smith is listed as a master fruiterer between 1908 and 1914?

No Ernest smith listed in fruiterers section, but there are two greengrocers listed in the street, one at no 239, the other at 67. No . 239 is a fair bit further down the street on the same side,. No 67 is on the opposite side of the street, but close to 208 (both being between Bridge st west and New john st west.).
Court 35 Gt Russell st is between 203 and 205, and so is close to no 208, and similarly it will be almost opposite the green grocers at no 67.

1912 Greengrocers at 192 and 225 only, both the same side of the road as 208 but a bit down

1913 No 208 Russell St Ernest Smith, Greengrocer.
1921 33 Wheeler st Ernest Smith ,greengrocer
1932 70 Bell Barn road Ernest William Smith greengrocer
47 High St Saltley Ernest John smithe greengrocer
I don’t know if the last two are related. Can search later Kellys if they are of interest

Thanks Mike, thats my great grandad Ernest in 1913... he's listed as a fruiterer master on birth certificates dated 1908, 1909, 1912, 1914 and on his wife's death certificate in 1921. Interestingly he's listed as a general hawker on one birth certificate in 1921. I'd love to be able to nail Ernest down as he seems to disappear after 1921 and i cant find his death certificate at all.
