Elliott

What info are you looking for?

Ronald G Elliott appears to have died in 1934 and Ida remarried in 1935 to a Vivian A Hughes. She died in 1992.

Thank you for your reply , Ronald Godfrey was my uncle who died at the age of 28 in 1934,I have been searching for information about aunt Ida as she was close to the same age as uncle Ron, I just wanted to know if she had a good life and assumed she would have remarried but I haven’t been able to find anything about her after 1934, if you look at the section on the forum for cemeteries you will see I had been looking for Ron’s grave in Handsworth, can you please tell me how you found Ida’s information, are you connected to her later family

No connection. The information is readily available on the genealogy sites. I looked for a marriage to get a time frame and when I couldn't find a death for her under Elliott, started to look for other things.

She was living in Earlswood in 1939 and she probably had at least one child with Vivian, named after his father, maybe more.

Thank you again, I have been researching my family tree over the last 12 months via myHeritage, I didn’t even know uncle Ronald had been married, I have been researching Ida’s family to see if there had been mention of a second wedding but found none, now I have a starting point I will try to research Ida’s later life and maybe last resting place, thank you again I really appreciate you help

The address for Ida in 1939 is Ambleside, Earlswood and her son Vivian Ronald Hughes (named for both husbands maybe?) appears to have run a business from there or thereabouts, next to the garden centre of the same name...

Sadly, he appears to have died in 2021.

Thank you Janice , for your help in my search for information about my aunt, I’m glad she was able to make a life for herself after the untimely death of my uncle Ron, they had only been married for 4 years, his hobby was to play in a jazz band and after leaving a club in the early hours and riding home on his motorcycle in a snow shower wearing just his tuxedo was struck down with pneumonia a died within just a few days, I assume that back in 1934 medicines and medical help was not as it is nowadays, thank you once again
