On checking I found that Edwin Showell & Sons was an old Birmingham firm founded about the turn of the 18thC in Lower Loveday Street. In 1903 they moved to a new factory in Charlotte Street, Stirchley.

Their history is very well covered in a page from their catalogue posted on the Forum by “Tinpot” [thank you] back in 2022. See under Does anyone have any advice for finding photos please?

They were taken over by Joseph Parkes & Son in 1956. Factory closed around 2002 and later demolished.
