Earliest sound recording

It's a long shot, but does anyone know the earliest sound recording of a native from Birmingham?
I've not found anything useful in the library/archives.
It couldn't have been before about 1860 I suppose.
Even though I'm really interested in what someone who grew up here 1800-1820 would have sounded like, it would be interesting to at least find the earliest voice recording.

It would be interesting, however I wonder how accurate the sound would be given the age and technology?

I would agree Richard. If you listed (admittedly only on TV for me) to early wax cylinder recordings, then they do not sound as the person would have in life
