John Duller is listed in Kellys as landlord of:
The Roebuck , 108 Broad St,1,3,5,Ryland St in 1892 (not listed in Kellys 1890
The Trees in 1895 till 1908.
In !898 John Duller only rented the refreshment rooms at Bingley Hall. He'd rented the refreshment rooms before at shows there. So the refreshment room may well have, on later occasions, been 'dressed' to look like a tavern/public bar.
I remember seeing a newspaper cutting of large, almost life-size model buildings of Birmingham's historical places on show at Bingley Hall. Very lifelike.
He appears to die in 1930 same address as on 1911 census
There is a son John but on 1939 reg he is a cycle mechanic so did the company close after J A jnrs death?
The first picture is of a Bingley Hall Trades Show (note the Bovril stand on the right) pity we can't spot the refreshment rooms (taps and all), although the second picture does show EH James's sample room and features Phoenix Dublin Stout.
