Tracking down this surname is proving a bit of a nightmare - especially 1881 census backwards.

Have the birth certificate for my great grandmother Minnie Dixon

Born 1880 registered address William Street

Siblings were
Thomas Arthur (cert) 1875 Barford Street
John W circa 1879
Annie E circa 1883
Stephen (cert) 1892 (2 Monument Sq) Bellis Street

Parents were Thomas Dixon and Mary Ann (nee Mills) who did not actually get married until Dec 2nd 1878 !!! At Immanuel Church (I believe Broad Street) address again given as William Street.

So by the 1881 census there should have been 5 members in the family - but I find 0 results nationwide !!!

The marriage certificate shows Thomas Dixon fathers name John

It has been painful getting this far - any assistance in moving this on earlier would be appreciated

Is it this family, in 1, court 3, Vere Street, which used to run between St Paul's Street and Benacre Street, parallel to Bristol Road?
