What directory was it in? It does not seem to appear in Pigot's of 1841, and the firm is not listed. However there is an Alexander Dean , Engineer and machine and patent portable Corn mill maker, 229 Sherlock St. By 1845 he is an engineer, millwright,machinist & manufacturer
of agricultural implements, at 116 New .Canal st
