Gordon George Davis...I cannot believe after all your help yesterday. I get an ancestry hint which is correct. Again I can only post a screenshot of the image etc. This time The Birmingham Gazette. The dates fit in, and if its correct I had some knowledge of this. Didnt expect to see this article. Thank you.

Bham Daily Post 22 Feb 1957...

"The manager of a clothing shop in The Precinct, Coventry invented an employee and paid him several sums of money which he kept himself, it was alleged at Coventry yesterday. Gordon George Davis (32) of Meriden Drive, Kingshurst Birmingham, was committed on bail to Coventry Quarter on seven counts of stealing from his employer John Manners Ltd and of falsifying and destroying accounts."
