thats the one i use to bet there every day of the week when i was young and single i had a good payed job at the imi in the foundry rolling mills
drawing metal from the furnaces and our kid was in the gate house on securtity
later on in life i met up with dave he had a whopping big house in uplands rd at the time it was a very large grandier house i used to work for him around at is house
he left uplands about ten year ago he had himself a bunglow built for himself and his mrs some-where in harborne when casiusclay came to brum he came to daves house
he had a massive bar in his house and he had his pic took with him at his house around he bar i beleive he was some kind of boxer long before my time
he was only a little guy very flash i would say a spiv,
he was minted mind you he must have had half my wedges i was talking to his other half one day dave popped back and said i hear you have had a little problem .
i said oh yes dave , got talking and when he was on his way out
he said here you are son get your self a drink and he tossed me a coin
when i caught it it was only fifty pence ,i scowled at him under my breath
he never heard me but any way his mrs a lovely lady said what did dave give you and i told her she said the so and so here you are she said and she gave me a fiver
