Crossroads programme

From Birmingham Libraries.

With the mention of "Crossroads" the TV series, I have to say that for fans of that series, I still see Jane Rossington, (JILL) who lives close by. She is sadly in the last days of dementure. She is cared for, and as comfortable as she can be. I speak with her on a regular basis, but it is hard to see her like this. Thanks, Gerry.

Very interesting article. While I never saw the show, it transitioned the post war and motorization as well as social changes very well apparently.

Penns Hall Hotel (formerly home to Crossroads) has been used to house Asylum seekers for the past three years. I wonder what Meg would have to say and if any of the current residents have been made aware of Crossroads? There would certainly be some new, rather different story lines available for any new series....

Had a few beers in the there back in the 50`s Fished in the lake, There were some Germans swimming in the lake one day naked & we hid their clothes in some bushes. Nicked a few golf balls on the attached golf course. Oh lovely naughty days.

Went to a wedding reception there in the early 1980s. Reception room was pretty uninspiring, but it was lovely to overlook the lake.

Always a favourite for Works dinner/ dances. I was in the area recently and thought I’d go down the drive and see what was happening with it. I didn’t get too far before being stopped by a security guard!
