Astonian

gone but not forgotten
Hi Guys
After all these years on this forum i have been searching for a very long time and made request to our fellow members
for help to track down a very good old friend ronnie whom people have given me some idea or last known addresess
and then come along a guy by the the name of eddlowe whom is a newist member spotted my request and over the last two weeks
contacted me and imformed me that ronne is is cousin ;
and cutting the chase he contacted me and told me whom he was and also the best surprize was he gave me is mobile number
and he spoke to ron and told him of my request and he wanted to speak to me so i rang him laast night we are both over he moon its must be 45 years at least since we seen each other and got together so ron as asked me to come and visit him as soon as possible i have now got rons address so thnks for the forum and edd we are in touch ;ron had told me of the previuos owners
of the house we moved into at 243 kingedwards rd ladywood
and he said before we moved into this house it was a family named craddock and it was a pawnbrokers so possible late forty to the mid fifties this person would have been operating as a pawnbroker
so i was wondering if anybody could spare me there valuable time and check any electrol roll o what ever and give me any further in fo; on ths family we moved in there in the year of 1957 if it helps
once again i thank you allfor your help over the year of trying to locate ronnie best wishes Astonian;;

Hi Astonian, On the Electoral Rolls there are Annie and Frank Craddock at that address for 1920 to 1927, but they don't always give all the results, at least this is your proof! It doesn't mention pawnbrokers though, this might have been later.
I hope this helps, the original reply I typed was longer but I got timed out and it didn't "auto-save". I'm glad you are finding interesting pieces of your history!!!
Best Wishes,
rosie.

Kellys shows that from 1921-1950 no 243 is lsited as a pawnbrokers under Mrs Annie Zealley, but by 1955 nothing was listed at that address. I did not look earlier than 1921
