County Express newspaper - 1947

Good afternoon

I do apologise if this is the wrong forum for this subject matter.

My Mother had a daughter, my sister. Jacqueline was sadly stillborn.

I have a typed obituary which was placed in a local paper at the time, County Express - Cradley Heath. I would like to obtain an actual copy of the obituary. The date would be 1947 - late October to early to mid-November.

Are there any archives of the County Express of that period and if so, where?

Thank you

Shaun-C

Hi Janice

My parents lived in Trejon Road, Cradley Heath. Jacqueline was delivered at Loveday Hospital, Birmingham. I have her stillborn certificate. Jacqueline brothers were also delivered at Loveday Hospital. My mother kept a diary which indicates an obituary was published in the County Express at the time.

Not having much joy today. I will post on the other thread tomorrow as to why. Feeling I am being stonewall by officialdom. They just want me to go away. That’s not for this thread But for the other

Thank you

Shaun-C
