iam trying to find any infomation on a mathew cotterill b1771 in stafford and became the first freeman iin stafford in1794, this concerns my family tree . i was given this infomation and i would like to cross reference it ,is there any sites or books i can get , any help i can get would be great .

hi alf have tried that site but only the freeman of the last few years . have you got any more ideas
 
Can I suggest you try contacting Jackie Cotterill who is secretary of BMSGH but who has also undertaken a lot of research into the Cotterill family
