Does anyone know anything about the Cooper family that came from the aston area. I am interested in a Harry Cooper who was a mechanic, he died sometime before 1927 and had a daughter called Evelyn who was born in 1907.
many thanks
Janine

There were quite a few Coopers in the Aston area at the time you're interested in. I have Henry and Harry Coopers in my family tree who were in Aston, but they're too young to have had a child in 1907.

Coopers

There are Coopers from Aston from the 1860s in my family tree. They lived on Whitehead Street St Giles Aston and were jewellers. There was a William Cooper who was born 1811 married to Eliza. They had two children William and Elizabeth who married Joseph Jenkins. Joseph and Elizabeth had a daughter also Elizabeth who married Henry Bayliss. I have posted a previous message about the Bayliss'. All these families seemed to have been in the Aston area for generations. It might be worth while looking at whether William Cooper is related to your Coopers. He was born in 1844.

mom just told me,her grandad frederick findon, left her granny with 4 kids frederick ,jimmy, peter, nancy findon (nancy later became a toon).
they only found out where he went when he was wounded in ww1 and repatriated under the name of FREDERICK COOPER,blimey, the skeletons are coming out of moms cupboards now,(got to get all this before she decides to head for the big outdoor in the sky)

My family of Coopers lived in Birmingham. They migrated to Australia, but there was a brother Richard Samuel Cooper who stayed behind. I know nothing of his family and descendants.

I know he married an Alice Pomfret about 1877 and had 2 children, George Edward and Kate about 1878 and 1879. If these names appear in your family history there might be some connection.
