Conrad Brennikmeyer C&A

tali

master brummie
I was looking at electoral rolls for 1960s and noticed name of Conrad Brennikmeyer at 6* Westfield Rd Edgbaston - one of Brum's most substantial houses now owned by a famous wholesaler.
Conrad Brennikmeyer only lived there for a few years but i ask as i'm sure he was part of the C&A store empire
Anyone of any further info on him?

Re-Conrad Brennikmeyer

Here goes, the Brennikmeyer family owned C&A's and moved to live in Belgium.
As far as my husband can remember it was Brechat/ Antwerp.

They were moved by Robinsons removals and the firm involved in this was the furnishing store of Alfred Allens. Sorry cannot remember the exact year at the moment. My husbands occupation involved all of the internal furnishings/ Curtains/ Bed Linen etc.

It was very much on the mansion size. Mrs Brennikmeyer was a really nice woman and treated all of the men working there as if they were part of the family.
Perhaps tomorrow hubbie may remember the year, it is possible it was late 70's

Just to clarify in your descriptions "mansion size" are you referring to the Brechat/ Antwerp house or the Westfield Rd one?(only Conrad listed in elec roll)
:)
