I am researching Mary Ann Coley born about 1859 in Bilston according to census. She married Charles Stone in 1881 at St. Stephen's.Marriage Cert' has them living at Hatchett Street (St. George ?)at time of marriage.Charles father is William Stone living at Legge Street, St. George. Mary's father given as Henry Coley (occupation: caster).
Their children are William,Charles Henry,Elsie,Mary Ann And Lily Beatrice.
Any information or clues for Mary Ann Coley would be much appreciated.

STONE, MARY ANN WIFE MARRIED 30 F 52 BILSTON
STONE, CHARLES HENRY SON SINGLE M 29 CHANDILIER MAKER BRASS WARWICKSHIRE B'HAM
STONE, LILY BEATRICE DAUGHTER SINGLE F 26 PRESS MAKER WARWICKSHIRE B'HAM

There is a Mary Ann Coley birth registered 4th quarter 1859, but the document is badly damaged and the district or reference numbers are lost.

Many thanks for your replies and help, much appreciated.I have seen the 1911 census but you have explained, I think, why I struggle with birth details.I have a copy of the marriage cert' for Charles Stone and Mary Ann Coley in Sep' 1881 and it shows her father as one Henry Coley; caster. I have found a few posibilities but can't validate.Interestingly the witnesses on the marriage cert' are both Stones - suggesting no Coleys present ?

Seeing your research names I have an Elizabeth Nichols (one L) who married John Stone in 1801 in Aschurch, Glos' These are Charles Stones' grandparents.

According to Genuki, Bilston births would have been registered Wolverhampton, i found this one, no middle name i know but wouldn't be the first time to find this --

Mary Coley 1st qtr 1861 Wolverhampton 6b 489

As usual when you are not sure if this is the correct one, ask them to cross check fathers name on the cert
