Coach Trip to Weston Super Mare

“A walk along the seafront of Weston Super Mare. We begin the walk at the site of the now derelict Birnbeck Pier. I make my way around to Marine Lake and Knightstone Island. After a quick walk around the island we continue along the seafront promenade to Grand Pier. A walk along the pier and explore before continuing along the front, passing Tropicana to the southerly end of the promenade where we continue along the beach to the village of Uphill...”

Just down the road from Weston in the 60s, Brean Down, Burnham-on-Sea.
We always preferred Brean and camped there a few times when the kids were little, climbing up all those steps at the far end you get a view across to Weston and at the far end is the old fort which was built to protect a possible invasion by Napoleon, you could explore it for free and see the rusted old ammunition bunkers etc but no doubt there is a charge now
