Hi Bren thankyou for your reply,do you have any other information on Martin Clissetts parents as i never new them i know that all generations of the clissetts lived in a cottage in stoke pound Bromsgrove.
Thankyou for all that information Bren,do you know if alfreds mother was registered at that same property, before Alfred and Doris i have been told all the family just passed the property from generation to generation, thankyou for your help.
Now then, i found this death -- Alfred George Clissett 1st qtr 1978 Age 70yrs Sandwell 33 1145 (Born 15 Sept 1907)
Then found -- Alfred George Clissett 4th qtr 1907 Bromsgrove 6c 320. Was probably registered in the Oct making it the 4th qtr, nothing unusual about that.
He, it looks to me, just didn't give his middle name at the registration of his marriage.
Thankyou for all that information Bren,do you know if alfreds mother was registered at that same property, before Alfred and Doris i have been told all the family just passed the property from generation to generation, thankyou for your help.
1911 shows Alfred George Clissett age 3 b. Stoke prior with his mother Florence Elizabeth Clissett age 23 born Stoke prior she says she has been married 4years.
A Florence Elizabeth Day married an Albert Clissett in March 1907 Bromsgrove.
Florence and Alfred are with Alfred George Knight and his family at the Old boat inn, Canal side , Park Lane Oldbury, Alfred Clisssett is described as nephew/
The are some transcription errors on the 1911 the old boat inn is transcribed Farm and the names a Chislet. The original shows the correct names.
On other census other Day relatives are shown with the Knights, including Florence who was obviously known as Elizabeth/Lizzie to her family.
In 1891 age 3 with her parents William and Florence at stoke works and in 1901 with the Knight family age 13.
The only Albert Clissetts born in the timescale to marry Florence are
Albert Edward born 1880 Monmouth and Albert George born 1892 Monmouth(he would have only been 15 so perfectly legal for him to marry to make Alfreds birth legitimate but he is single with his family in 1911)
Albert Edward is married in 1911 living in Wales. So a mystery.
Marriage certificate for 1907 will perhaps unravel the mystery
Since posting I have found a birth of a Bertie Clissett 1885 Bronsgrove, have found him in 1891 Stoke pound then he disappears, could he be Alfreds father.
In 1891 he is 6 years old with his parents John and Emma at Whitford Bridge Stoke Pound, John is a Saltmaker.
In 1901 there is a Herbert Clissett aged 16 (born Stoke Prior)working on Meadows Farm, Stoke Prior Wood Gate, Stoke Prior.
It looks as though the Emma Clissett in Alberta's post died in 1897 aged 47 and John married again in 1898 to Fanny Ellen Woodward.
By 1911 John had moved to Statin Rd King Norton.
