Clews Family - Who Would Have Thought It

Following an enquiry on the Forum with regards to Family Name Clews, I got in touch with the member and it's unbelievable this is the connection my 4 Aunt's & 2 Uncle's has been looking for nearly 80 years for.

I just feel so elated to have achieved something that that my family have failed to do in nearly 80 years sadly only my one Aunt is a live to receive this information
I feel I just have to tell members how valuable this Forum is and it's members.

The story is that my aunt died in hospital at very young age leaving behind a husband and child they disappeared of the radar even after considerable efforts by my deceased relatives to find them.

Thanks to one of the Forum's new members the Son has been found, I'm really thrilled that I have been able find out what happened to the Grandson and I hope a friend who is my cousin.

I'm hope to connect with very soon he come from Birmingham lives is Portugal and his sister lives 40 miles away from where I live in Devon it's a very small world.

ray it can be a very small world if you are a member of this forum. over the years all sort of doors have been opened for members...firm friendships have been made and as you have just discovered long lost family can be found... (its happened to me)i know i keep saying it but what other brum history forum is there where these things are achievable...so chuffed for you and family ray...all the best to you all:)

It's a shame all but 1 of relatives are alive, I received a number of E-mail's from this new member I only got in touch last night.

It seems that he wanted information from a family he never knew I'm so looking forward to make contact with him.

But doesn't show how valuable the forum and it's member are there's a wealth of knowledge from us old coggers.

Arriving in the UK tomorrow...unfortunately, no visits to Birmingham. However, I do get together with my lifelong friend from Paddington St and my best mate from Moseley Art School. We meet up at Warners on the IOW. There will be 8 of us. Experience has shown that this is the way of peace and cooperation when 4 couples spend any significant amount of time together.

hope to meet some of you down the orse' rd.
