Does anyone remember or have a photo of a shop called Clayton House on Stratford Road. It was in the row of shops near the corner of Springfield Road, Sparkhill. It was owned by my aunt Miss Maisie Clayton and she sold Women’s and children’s clothes. The shop was there during the 50s and 60s. I am not sure of exact years. I think there was an Italian barbers next door or nearby or maybe it was an Italian cafe. I’m not sure. So many years ago. Somebody was stabbed there. The row of shops are numbered around 779 - 791ish.

Ah yes. I remember it was the end shop. She was quite glamorous when she was young and I remember the flat above the shop was very chintzy. She had modelled for C & A before she had the shop.this is the shop now...it says new choice...lyn
Ahh yes I remember now it was the end shop. She closed it many many years ago but she had another shop on Stratford Road in Shirley. Not sure if it had the same name.this is the shop now...it says new choice...lyn
