ive tried but cant help im afraid. hoped they might have been christened in st. martins as i have the records but no good. all i can suggest is to pay per view to look up on the 1911 census as you would have some of the children there and kathleen clarke.

if you ask, someone may look for you if they have credits but otherwise may be worth you doing it yourself. sorry :(

Thanks for your time and trouble Shera :) I will .. I told you they are difficult . I have found the phone number of my last surviving eldest son so I shall ask him tommorrow . Thanks again :)

Hi Jean,
I've been off site for quite a while because of computer problems and getting acquainted with a new computer. You are fortunate to have located your grandfather Samuel Clarke and the others that I've read about. . I still have no results for my queries into George Frederick Clarke, born 4 May 1886, at 4 Bishop Street, St. Martin, Birmingham, to Mary Ann Clarke (maiden name.)I'm discouraged because I've been trying for so long to find out anything about them. Everything comes up blank. As a result I've been researching my step-mother's Tipton line and have found bunches of stuff, paritcularly here in the states. If you've learned anything about the Clarke line that I'm researching that might help, I would really appreciate hearing from you or from any other on site who are researching the Clarke line. Cheers from rainy California.

ive looked on the electoral rolls and there is a george frederick and mary ann clarke listed as follows:-

1925 at 1 Kensington Gardens, Balsall Heath Rd. Balsall Heath

1927 at 187 The White Hart, Aston Rd.

1930 and 1935 at 73 Albion Vaults, Cato Street North

Hi Shera, Thanks for looking and getting back so quickly. I know that George Frederick Clarke married Olga Hansen (Hansdatter) in 1910 in San Diego, California, USA. They had three children, the youngest being my father. George enlisted in the Canadian Expedition Forces in WW I and was honorably released for medical and health reasons in 1918. He never returned to his wife and children, and nothing was heard from him again after the release. It makes me wonder if he returned to England and lived with his mother, if any of the roll submissions are him and his mother. Do you know of any other sources I can use to determine whether or not any of those on the rolls might actually be the grandfather I have been looking for for so long? Thank you again for the information about the rolls. Don
