Hi, i visited a pub in the early 80`s what was up in the city centre, i only have vague memories of this pub, all i know is its on a corner of a side road,the side road i think was a bit of a hill.the pub was used by many bikers, also i think it was not far from New st station, someone sugested to me it could of been The Rose and Crown??,was there such a pub named that?? need ya help guys n gals!!:)if anyone remebers this pub have you got any info/pictures pleaseeee

It may have been the "Crown Hotel" also known to some as "Cutlers" In Station St just off Hill St, not many bikers got in there but they did tend to congregate at the back of the pub at Alex's Pie Stand. They used to have bands and discos upstairs at the weekends, the lounge wasn't too bad but the rest of the pub was pretty rough, I loved it. This photo was taken at a later date than I used it, there used to be a underground public toilet opposite the pub on that island known to the local gay community as "The Golden Slipper"
