HI ALL
Can anyone remember when we had newspapers on xmas day??. Years ago my father had a small news round he ran
from the house.it was not very often ,only when xmas day fell on a sunday,do not ask me why. Also remember when
we had football matches on xmas morning.Every one was there wearing their new scarves ,gloves and caps.

Didn't there used to be some buses running on Christmas and Boxing days at one time?

I can certainly remember when we had post on Christmas morning.
But I'm in favour of as few people working as possible - it's unavoidable with power workers, hospital workers, the armed services, and many others, of course. When working as a musician in a Boiurnemouth hotel band many years ago, I used to miss not spending all of Christmas Day with my then young family.

Maurice in a very wet and windy Crete

I definitely remember the post being delivered on Christmas morning - my dad was a postman and always came home 'three sheets to the wind' after all the drinks he was offered on Christmas morning!

Charlie:

That's the trouble with getting all your presents on the same day! :rapture:

I don't remember newspapers on Christmas Day. Also I recall we did not get them on Good friday as I remember when the Birmingham Mail first published Good Friday as to those of us working in industry Good friday was a normal working day.
