Christening/

gizmo

knowlegable brummie
Hi

I have a christening date off the latterday saints sight for
Ellen Louisa Dyas -19th Feb 1882 but it doesn't say which church it was in Birmingham. Would it be possible for someone to check this for me please so i can confirm or discard it was St Martins.

Her parents were Thomas and Mary (Dawe/Daws)Dyas who i also think married at st martins towards the end of 1876.

Thankyou
Tracy

Tracy, sorry I could not find the baptisim or the marriage at St Martins. If you send for the marriage certificate it will have the church on it.
Good Luck.

Thankyou for looking for me at least i now know it wasn't there and i'm really grateful for that.

Could i please ask you to check if Ellen's marriage was at this church. Using freebmd thier are two marriages for Ellen Louisa Dyas 2 years apart and i don't know which is the one i need.

1st is in 1902 dec quarter to either Harry Cooper or Frederick Smith
2nd is in 1904 sept quarter to either Bert Jones or William Simpson

This hobby is proving more costly than i first though but its like an addiction.

Thankyou again
Tracy

Tracy I have checked the registers and the last Dyas marriage at St Martins is recorded in 1865 between Harriet Dyas and Vincent Callow. I only have a copy of the marriage registers up to 1903.

Thankyou for your time and for helping me with this Wendy i'm really grateful. I now know where they weren't at those times thanks. :) Tracy
