Cheapside Deritend

Thanks for that......I know they wrote the address in a funny way and cant decide if its Court 8 house No 25 or Court 25 House No 8....lol.
In all the written records I have seen I cant find either. The latest I am looking at is the 1921 Census (free) where you can see whose living there and it would have been a chance to actually see who Charles's family were as I cant find records for his Mom/Dad or siblings....in fact on different certs his father has different names......but I know that from his war discharge he was said to tend to be rather confused at times.
very unusual to have 25 houses in one court keith but a map of the court should tell us

Map also shows a court 25 but no the correct place see post 36 for link to map..

Also found eroll for 1920 but no one named Bayley listed
Thanks....this is one hell of a ghost family.......Charles has his mother as Gertrude on the Army papers but cannot tie this down to anyone and no Birth marriage or death listed for her. On various things the father has different names but on a Birth cert for Charles which says Gertude is Mother it says Dad is Charles Stephen who is also very hard to trace. NowI have 1921 free for a bit I could look at the address on the Birth Cert.

Suggestion based on the eroll I posted earlier.
At house 8 court 25 are Harry Dunhill and GERTRUDE Dunhill.
Going to check the 1920
Had Mr Bayley died and Gertrude married again?

Gertrude and Harry are there in 1920 as well.

There is a marriage in 1892 of Henry Dunhill and Gertrude BALDWIN. Reg at West Bromwich (that included parts of Birmingham).
So I am not sure what is going on.

i notice that the birth was registered 2 months after birth...could it be charles william was born somewhere else parents then moved to birmingham and registered him here ..i am struggling to make out the address on the birth cert..looks like willes road but i have never heard of it...back later

Thanks all the time you 2 put in on my behalf.
I have Charles everywhere after 1919 when he married Wife's GMother with loads of entries in voting AND with the help of the free weekend I found a Charles (W) Bayley in Newspaper article in 1969 when he complained about disturbance in Woodlands hospital and it had a picture of the man.....I have told Wife it's 99% her Gdad...let's hope I am correct. Will post pics when on PC....in few minutes.
Gertrude Baldwin was the lady I have penciled in as his Mother....and tried everything to trace marriages and deaths of her and the possible father of Charles.
I couldn't see the 1921 entry for that Court/House number on findmypast ?
